The Poodle Club started as a relaxed forum for design discussion. It was not trying to save the world, but allowed people of diverse professional & academic backgrounds to get together regularly under one roof to inform and be informed.
Our sessions outgrew Poodle Hall at the office to emerge as a city-lab unconference called 4Days.
In 2009 Breakhouse became the Halifax hosts for PechaKucha Night, the marvellous presentation format was devised by Klein Dytham architecture in Tokyo. This global phenomenon of idea sharing happens regularly in over 500 cities worldwide.
Poodle Club continues to host PK and other provocative + innovative ideas to spur participation.
