For over three decades, two distinctive, modern towers have stood next to their historic neighbours along the Halifax waterfront. Connecting land, sea and sky, Purdy’s has become an iconic landmark for this port city, and a dominant business hub for Atlantic Canada.
With change on the horizon, Purdy’s understood that a reinvention of their properties was necessary to compete with new development in the downtown core.
Taking notes from the original architecture of the towers, a new geometric visual identity was created to breath life into a familiar, if slightly faded name.
The architectural renovations include bright open concept lobbies in both towers, as well as the development of a public lounge and workspace. The reimagined retail and food zone will up the ante at lunchtime.
Working together with Upland Studios several green spaces around the property were developed with the hope to inspire community connections in this urban zone under tremendous transformation.
